Kobe Bryant and Nike

Filed under: Sports, Fashion — Tristan Panasik @ 09:43

Kobe Bryant has teamed up with Nike to design a new low-cut basketball sneaker.  The sneaker, which is unusual in today’s world of basketball thanks to high-tops which provide more ankle support, weigh a meer 11.6 ounces.

Players who wear the low-cut sneaker will need to tape their ankles to prevent injury.  Release for public purchase is scheduled for February.

Red Plum Shopping

Filed under: Things That I Love, Fashion — Tristan Panasik @ 19:03

Who likes to shop?  I do, I do!!!  Yet sometimes I get frustrated when I have 10 browsers open and I’m flipping between different sites looking for the best deal.  Earlier this week I stumbled upon a new site called Red Plum, which just might be a solution to every girl’s shopping dilemmas.

Redplum.com is a single destination with special offers, deals, product information, and coupons for products and services that are local and relevant to you. Red Plum has already done the dirty work to find the best offers, deals, and products to feature in one place, so that you can easily enjoy the savings, splurge on the fun things, and spend more time doing the things that matter.

You can quickly search through a wide variety of categories to find valued offers, expert advice, fun tips and recommendations that are relevant to you. As you find great offers, you can easily print them out, save them for later or even share them with family and friends!

Happy shopping!

Spring Fashion

Filed under: Fashion, Uncategorized — Tristan Panasik @ 23:21

You know that it’s summer time - ok, it’s really spring, but let a girl dream, will ya - when it’s offically time to put away the little black dress and pull out everything that screams summer!  Bright colors, short sleeves, even shorter skirts, tank tops, flip flops, strappy heels… what’s not to love?

A few things that I’ve noticed lately:

Summer Dresses:  You walk into Express and the front rack is full of, gasp, silk strapless dresses! They almost look too pretty to touch, but alas they were made to be worn as a compliment to that awesome bronz glow that you’re about to rock this season.

Swim:  Every summer it’s hard to find “the one”, as in the one swimsuit that you’re going to love, and love to be seen in.  With the economy in the state that it’s in, not to mention the cost of gas to get to the beach this summer, how can you go wrong with Victoria Secret’s must have Beach Sexy® two piece bikini.  With $15 tops and $14 bottoms, how can you resist buying one in every color???

Diamonds!!!

Filed under: Things That I Love, Fashion, Random Tidbits — Tristan Panasik @ 08:23

Leave it to me to talk about diamonds!!  Sotheby’s Hong Kong galleries will be auctioning a 72.22-carat diamond.

If you’re interested, the diamond is expected to fetch between $10 million and $13 million, and is a pear shaped, D-color, flawless gem with GIA-graded excellent polish and symmetry.  For those of you who are diamond novices, D-color is actually colorless and considered the most highly valued.

2008 Oscars, and past winners and losers on the red carpet

Filed under: Fashion, Random Tidbits, Entertainment — Tristan Panasik @ 08:42

I’ve heard a lot of people say that they don’t give a hoot about this year’s Oscars, which we can conveniently blame on the writer’s strike and lack of Golden Globes glamour.  But I’ve actually planned my day so that I can be home in time to see the red carpet with its high fashion and sparkling jewels.

If you’re like me and can’t wait until this afternoon, check out some of the fasions from previous years where Oscar’s worst dressed and Oscar’s best dressed are idolized (for lack of a better word) forever.
